  3. Houston, TX, December 7, 1995 - InterSoft International, Inc announces
  4. the new release of NetTerm 2.8 for Windows.  NetTerm is a Windows 3.x
  5. and Windows 95 compatible program which offers the following:

  7.      1.  On-line phone book for both Unix telnet and bulletin boards.
  8.  
  9.      2.  Supports VT100, VT220 and ANSI terminal emulation with full
  10.          color and ANSI graphics.  Automatic switching between VT100,
  11.          VT-220 and ANSI escape sequences.
  12.  
  13.      3.  User defined number of scroll back lines.
  14.  
  15.      4.  Support for the popular Trumpet TCPIP stack.  Includes example
  16.          scripting file for dialing a SLIP/PPP host, logging on, and
  17.          obtaining the dynamic IP address under complete script control.
  18.  
  19.      5.  Scripting language for automatic login, setting up custom
  20.          programs such as Trumpet and detection of Internet provider
  21.          IP addresses.  Example scripts are included for compuserve,
  22.          cisppp and netcom.

  24.      6.  Built in phone dialer for all hosts, including SLIP/PPP.

  26.      7.  Problem keys can be defined as to what it sends to the host.
  27.          You can even define keys such as F1-F12 to send long string
  28.          such as 'FTP FTP.MICROSOFT.COM'.

  30.      8.  File transfers using ZMODEM and Kermit with all hosts, even
  31.          locally attached and SLIP/PPP UNIX systems.

  33.      9.  Easy modem setup and initializing.

  37.     11.  Fully supports full transparent printing from a UNIX host.
  38.          Includes a UNIX script file that you can upload to your host
  39.          to send text files to your computer, using the transparent
  40.          feature.  Allows printing of UNIX text files on your local
  41.          Windows printer, or just place them in a local file for
  42.          editing.

  44.     12.  NetTerm supports the zmodem "send command to host option".
  45.          If NetTerm receives a zmodem command, it will execute that
  46.          command.  For example, if you enter the sz -c "notepad file.txt"
  47.          command on a UNIX host, NetTerm will start the program notepad
  48.          giving it the filename of myfile.txt to edit.  A quick and
  49.          easy way to send a file to your local pc, then edit that file.

  51.     13.  NetTerm supports remote host file editing.  This allows you to
  52.          download a file from a host, edit with your editor, then
  53.          upload back to the host, with just one simple command on the
  54.          host.  Now you can use your favorite Windows editor to change
  55.          your host files.

  57.     14.  NetTerm includes 'RESOLVE' and 'FINGER' support.

  59.     15.  NetTerm includes a FTP Server.

  61.     16.  NetTerm has been optimized to work with the OVID Medical
  62.          database search software.  Query results can be sent to your
  63.          local windows printer or saved to a file on your computer.

  65.     17.  NetTerm is now WWW aware.  If a HTML URL is displayed within
  66.          a telnet session, just left mouse click any place on the
  67.          URL and NetTerm will start your Browser and pass it the
  68.          URL for processing.

  70.     18.  NetTerm now includes a new SmartButtons bar that can
  71.          automate frequently used keystrokes.  The bar can be
  72.          defined for each unique host and can include key sequences
  73.          up to 255 characters.

  75.     19.  Multisession support is now included.  Connect to as many
  76.          hosts as you require, and use NetTerms easy to use window
  77.          menu to switch between them.  Connections to other hosts
  78.          can be initiated from any Netterm session.

  81. file transfer for both dialup and local ethernet connections.  This
  82. means you can connect to your Unix based systems, and transfer files
  83. with Zmodem whether you are at the office or on the road.  For

  86. file transfers.

  102. NetTerm is a Windows based terminal emulator
  103. with fast zmodem file transfers.  It can also
  104. be used as a dialer program for SLIP/PPP and
  105. includes a built in scripting language.
  106. For Internet hosts, the telnet protocol is
  107. enabled with VT100 and full ANSI graphics.  A
  108. ftp server is included.  Transparent printing
  109. and local host editing is supported for UNIX.
